火星工作室 ("we", "us", or "our") values the privacy of you and your child. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information, and the rights you have.
Please read this Policy carefully before using HappyJump (the "App"). If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please stop using the App immediately.
1. Special Notice: Protection of Minors
The App is primarily designed for primary and middle school students. Anyone under 14 years of age is considered a "child" under applicable law. We strictly comply with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, the Provisions on Protection of Children's Personal Information Online, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and other applicable regulations.
If you are a guardian of a minor, please:
- Assist your child in using the App and supervise device usage;
- Read this Policy carefully and consent on behalf of your child;
- Monitor your child's behavior while using the App.
If you discover that your child has used the App without your consent, please contact us at support@happyjumpapp.com and we will assist you.
2. Information We Collect and How We Use It
2.1 Information You Provide
- Profile Information: Nickname, avatar, gender, year of birth (for age-grouping display only, optional).
- Localization Settings: Your language preference (Chinese/English), reminder time, default training duration, and other preferences.
All such information is stored locally on your device. Our servers do not receive this information.
2.2 Information Generated During Use
- Jump Rope Activity Data: The number of jumps, duration, max streak, training mode, and timestamp of each session. This data is stored only on your device and is used for history records, heatmaps, and achievement unlocks.
- Pose Recognition Data: The App uses your device camera for real-time pose recognition and jump counting via the on-device MediaPipe AI model. All image processing is performed locally on your device. Image data is never uploaded, stored, or transmitted to any server, nor used for any other purpose. Image data is discarded immediately after recognition.
- Recorded Videos: When you choose to save a highlight video, the file is saved to your selected location (Photo Library). We do not access or upload these videos.
2.3 Device Permissions
We use the following device permissions for the purposes described. You may revoke any of these permissions in your system settings at any time:
| Permission | Purpose | Impact if Revoked |
| Camera | Real-time pose recognition and jump counting; recording highlight videos | Core check-in features will not work |
| Microphone | Capturing audio when recording highlight videos | Highlight videos will be silent |
| Photo Library (Read) | Selecting an avatar image | Cannot select avatar from Photos (camera capture still available) |
| Photo Library (Write) | Saving highlight videos and score cards | Cannot save videos or images |
| Notifications | Sending daily check-in reminders | No check-in reminders |
2.4 Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect any of the following:
- Your real name, ID number, phone number, or home address;
- Your precise geographic location;
- Information about other apps on your device or browsing history;
- Your contacts, call logs, or messages;
- Any biometric data used to identify you (face, fingerprint, etc.).
Pose recognition only detects body joint positions (such as shoulders, hips, knees) and does not constitute personally identifiable biometric data.
3. Third-Party Services
3.1 Apple iCloud (Pro Members Only, Optional)
If you subscribe to Pro membership and enable iCloud sync, your jump records, profiles, and achievements will be synchronized across your Apple devices via Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store. This data is encrypted and stored within Apple iCloud and protected under Apple's privacy policy. See Apple Privacy Policy.
If iCloud sync is not enabled, all data remains only on the device you are currently using.
3.2 Apple CloudKit (Friend Challenge Feature)
When you use the Friend Challenge feature, certain data is temporarily stored via Apple's CloudKit Public Database to enable challenge creation, participation, and result comparison. Specifically:
- Data uploaded: only your profile nickname (≤12 characters, with basic content filtering before upload) and the score numbers of each challenge (jump count, average cadence, interruption count, max consecutive streak).
- Data NOT uploaded: Apple ID, real name, location, jump videos, jump photos, device unique identifiers.
- Visibility scope: only users holding the corresponding invite code can view the challenge data of both participants. The App does not provide any global leaderboard, and no challenge data is exposed to strangers.
- Retention period: challenge records are retained on Apple CloudKit servers for 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
- Data control: you may swipe-delete any challenge record from the Challenge Center list at any time (locally). Server-side data is stored on Apple servers and protected under Apple Privacy Policy.
- Usage requirement: using the Challenge feature requires that your current Apple device is signed in to an iCloud account. If not signed in, the Challenge feature will be unavailable.
3.3 Apple In-App Purchase (IAP)
We use Apple App Store In-App Purchase (StoreKit) to process subscriptions and one-time purchases. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we do not receive your payment credentials or card numbers. See Apple Media Services Terms.
3.4 MediaPipe (Google Open-Source)
The App integrates Google's open-source MediaPipe Pose Landmarker model. The model runs entirely on your device and does not transmit data to Google or any third party.
3.5 Third-Party Services We Do NOT Use
We do not integrate any of the following types of third-party SDKs:
- Analytics SDKs (such as Umeng, Sensors Analytics, Firebase Analytics);
- Advertising SDKs;
- Push notification SDKs (we use only Apple system notifications);
- Social sharing SDKs (we use only the iOS system share sheet).
4. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights:
- Access: You can view all your jump records and profile information within the App at any time.
- Correction: You can modify your profile information in "Settings → Data Management".
- Deletion: You can clear all jump records and achievements for the current user in "Settings → Data Management". Deleting a user profile also deletes all data for that profile.
- Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent by revoking device permissions and stopping use of the App.
- Portability: You may contact us to obtain a readable copy of your local data.
5. Data Security
We protect your data through the following measures:
- All data is stored only on your device by default;
- iCloud sync uses Apple's standard encryption in transit;
- In-app purchase receipts are encrypted via iOS Keychain;
- No user data is retained on any server.
Because no data is uploaded, traditional "server data breach" risks do not apply. Please keep your device and Apple ID password secure.
6. Special Protection for Children's Privacy
We commit that:
- We will not deliver targeted advertising to children;
- We will not request information from children beyond the scope of this Policy;
- We will not use children's personal information for commercial marketing;
- Any child information collected in violation of this Policy will be deleted immediately upon discovery.
If you are under 14, please read this Policy with your guardian present and obtain their consent before using the App.
7. Policy Updates
We may update this Policy from time to time in response to changes in law or our services. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or release notes. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
8. Contact Us
For questions, comments, or complaints regarding this Policy, please contact:
We will respond within 15 business days of receiving your request.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Policy is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may bring a claim before a people's court with jurisdiction according to law.
